The postman always rings twice Fanfic ideas
Nick didn't really die in the car crash and has gone into hiding. Later to reveal himself to Frank and Cora after she has had the baby and that he is the father of the baby.

As the car rolled down the hill Cora could only wish that Frank was alright. The car rolled to a stop at the bottom of the hill and tilted slightly. Cora squinted her eyes as the moon had gone behind a cloud, to see what is going on. She could see movement at the bottom. A body appeared to stubble out of the car and a voice shouted out “Cora, it’s me Frank, Nick’s dead.” His voice echoed throughout the valley. “Now quick, run back up to the street and flag down a car” Cora quickly grabbed her purse and ran to the road side. A car could be seen in the distance, travelling quickly. As Frank started his ascent up the cliff he did not notice what was going on behind him. Nick had slowly rolled out of the car and pulled himself behind the rock that lay beside the car.

A couple days later after the whole ordeal Frank and Cora went back to living somewhat normal lives. They survived the court case claiming them of trying to kill Nick but got off on it being an accident and were now happily living with the insurance money. With no idea that Nick was still alive and trying to gain strength at the bottom of the hill. He lay behind the rock screaming out for anyone to hear him. He was burned badly from the accident. There was no one around. The tall cliff face worried Nick as he wondered if he would ever get out of there. The car still lay on its side. Pulling himself back to the car he searched for any sort of food or medical supplies. Luckily for Nick, Cora was always worried about something happening to him on long business trips, so she packed a first aid kit and food in the trunk. Opening the first aid kit he wrapped up his burns. He could hear a car coming closer to where he was lying. Yelling at the top of his voice “Help. I’m stuck at the bottom of this cliff” He could hear the car slow down so he continued to yell. “Help” The car came to a stop and doors slammed. “Hello” a voice sounded. Nick smiled and shouted back. “Hello. Please help me. I was in an accident and can’t move” The young man slowly climbed down the cliff making sure he didn't step on a lose rocks.

The young man reached Nick and asked him what happened. “I was in an accident. I don't really remember what happened.” The young man could see a drive way a couple of miles down the hill that lead up to where Nick was lying. “Hold on and I’ll drive around to you” he said and headed to his car. When he looked back up the young man was almost at the top of the cliff. After twenty minutes, he saw the car lights appear over the hill. He waved out so the young couple could see him. The young man helped him into the car. A young blonde woman sat in the front seat. Her hair in loose curls. Her attractive face distracted Nick as she spoke to him. Her voice was soft and inviting. Nick had a slight flashback of Cora. He had forgotten about her and everything that he had. The restaurant, the gas station. “Are you okay” she said. He finally awoke from his day dream and looked into her angelic blue eyes. “Yes thank you”. She looked away for a minute. She was taken in by his appearance. His aftershave drifted into the front seat. She shook in excitement. A real man she thought. Her husband was nothing like him. He was Big, strong, handsome. Nick was everything she needed. Her husband sat behind the wheel and turned to face Nick. “So what happened mate? You’re in a right state.” Nick looked away. Taking that as a sign the young man turned on the car and drove off. When they reached the beginning of town the young woman whispered to her husband. The car came to a stop and she turned around and looked at Nick. “Where to?” she asked in a deep, seductive voice. Nick said the first thing that came to his mind. “The Old Mill Hotel on the corner of South and Park”. The engine roared again and they were off. Getting out of the car he thanked them and walked inside.
Months went past and Nick was remembering things slowly and small things came back to his memory. The accident, him rolling out of the car. Frank and Cora running away and leaving him. Then one day it all made sense they had to kill him and it wasn’t the first time either. They tried to kill him in the bathroom. He started to get angry. The blood rushed through his veins. His face went red and pulsated. Running out onto the street he hailed a cab and yelled at the driver to take him to his old house. Reaching the house he opened the taxi door and slammed it. The taxi drove off. He stormed up the front stairs and flung the door open. Cora was sitting in the large chair holding something close to her chest. Looking up she smiled. All of a sudden her face went white like she was seeing a ghost. Standing up slowly Nick could see her holding a baby. Walking over Cora stepped back and fell onto the couch. “What are you doing here? We thought you died in the terrible car accident” Cora said in a shaky voice. The baby cried slightly and she rocked back and forth.

Nick moved towards her to get a better look at the baby. It was wearing a small blue jumpsuit. Nick took the baby from Cora and held him up to the roof. “A son” he said in a jolly tone. Frank walked in the room holding a blanket. Nick appeared to be fumbling around in his pocket. Pulling out a small gun he aimed it at Frank. Pulling the trigger back he bounced the baby up and down as he started to cry. Taking aim at Frank he squeezed the trigger and the bullet flew across the room hitting Frank in the chest. Falling to the ground Cora screamed and ran to Frank’s side. Once again Nick pulled the trigger back this time aiming it at Cora. She stood up and began talking to Nick. “Please Nick don’t”. He paid no attention to Cora and fired the gun at her. The bullet hit her in the chest just like Frank and she fell on top of him. Nick wiped down the gun and placed it in Cora’s hands.

Walking out of the house he held his son close to him and continued walking and lived happily ever after never think about Cora and Frank again.

  1. I really enjoyed reading this! Everything is clear, well described and easy to understand. I hadn't heard of these characters before but I liked the character Nick the most as I liked how he overcame his injury and calmly plotted revenge. I can't really come up for anything to critique and it seems well written with great grammar etc. I like how the story is open ended so it seems as if there is more in store for the reader. Were these characters from an old movie? Just wondering. Awesome fan fic would love to see more from you :)

  2. The Novel was written in the late 30's and the film was done in the mid 40's with a remake in the 80's. But this is the original from the 40's.
